In July 2023 FERRERE is celebrating two decades since its launch in the Paraguayan market, where it has consolidated its leadership with a highly specialized team and regional values, including meritocracy, innovation, vocation for offering differentiated legal services and a focus on its clients’ businesses, putting it in a privileged position in the local market.

Today, the firm has a team of 100 people, working on floors 24 and 25 of Torres del Paseo, one of the most modern and sophisticated corporate buildings in South America. Diversity is one of its fundamental pillars, reflected in 40% of the firm’s senior positions being held by women, along with 30% women partners, a percentage doubling the industry average in Latin America.

Meritocracy has been another of the driving forces at FERRERE in the Paraguayan market. “We were the first non-family firm in Paraguay, where lawyers’ growth is based on merit, on each individual’s work,” assured the office’s managing partner, Nestor Loizaga.

FERRERE also stands out for the number and quality of the clients it advises. The Latin American Corporate Counsel Association (LACCA) recently recognized the office for leading the ranking of firms, advising 17 of the 100 largest companies in Latin American, according to the LACCA Top 100 ranking.

Along the same line, the office has recently participated actively in various of the most talked-about transactions in the local market, including the largest private investment in the country’s history, the installation of the first services free trade zone in the country, and the merger -in record time- of two banks, creating the largest financial institution in the Paraguayan market.

The most highly reputed international publications specializing in law firms, such as Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR and Latin Lawyer, have noted the firm’s leadership in the market, lauding its different practice areas and practitioners with top spots in the rankings they prepare. These recognitions cover not only the quality of its services, but also its impact platform FERRERE Transforma, recently recognized as Leading Light by Latin Lawyer together with The Vance Center for International Justice, who applauded the firm’s pro bono work in the three jurisdictions where it has a presence, Bolivia, Paraguay and Uruguay.
