Practice Areas
Christopher practises in administrative, public law and human rights law and has a particular specialism in data protection and information law. Recent cases include: the prorogation of Parliament; the Article 50 Brexit litigation; multiple Scottish devolution references to the Supreme Court; the Schrems 2 case on international data transfers; a series of challenges to the disclosure scheme for criminal records; the challenge to the immigration exemption in the Data Protection Act 2018; the leading Supreme Court case on policy challenges; a challenge to NHS charging regulations; the junior doctors contract challenge; significant first instance and appellate decisions on the GDPR and Data Protection Act; and various cases concerning data protection law before the CJEU. He is a member of the Attorney General’s A Panel.

Called to the Bar in 2008. Judicial Assistant at the UK Supreme Court 2009-2010.
