Álvaro specialises in advising Spanish and worldwide banks and corporates on a range of debt capital markets transactions including regulatory capital, green bonds, hybrid bonds, plain vanilla bonds, commercial paper, mortgage covered bonds etc., either as Programme form (EMTN/GMTN/ECP) or as a standalone trade.

He has also advised on some of the most relevant IPO transactions in Spain in the last ten years (e.g. Iberia/British Airways and CEPSA). Alvaro has also experience working and advising on securitization transactions and on distressed debt trading transactions. He has also advised in numerous M&A transactions and has a broad experience in contractual law and a deep knowledge of the Spanish consumer legislation. Álvaro has been nominated by several legal directories such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500.
