Having completed an undergraduate degree in physiology and a Masters in Medical Law, Richard Paige has over 20 years’ experience in clinical negligence. Acting primarily on behalf of claimants he has experience handling all stages in proceedings, starting with inquests all the way through to trial, and including joint settlement meetings and mediations. He has significant experience drafting pleadings and advising clients in cases against Trusts, GPs, nurses, dentists and other health professionals.

Richard also has extensive experience in motor insurance fraud. He has been instructed on numerous occasions in cases involving fabricated, staged and induced (‘slam-on’) accidents, bogus passengers and phantom witnesses, low-velocity impacts (LVIs), and exaggerated personal injury and damage claims. He has been instructed in fraud ring cases and group actions. He has recently developed a specialism in rehabilitation fraud. He also acts in EL/PL fraud cases and holiday sickness fraud.

In 2019 Richard Paige was appointed as a Civil Recorder on the North Eastern Circuit.
